Take a stranger or a long lost friend

You'll be amazed by what that space up there can do to you

Maybe you'll be dazzled by the building lights and get blindsided by bicycle lights

I Met The One At A Bar

home on a Friday night with nothing to do

got invited to a bar for a drink or two

I walked in and called out my drink

all intentions were to make a man out of him

took two shots to brighten his look

from far I judged him as a moke

sitting there with an ice cold beer

cheap guy central, I can only dear

walked over with my glass of scotch

he said girl you drink so much!

I couldn't pay attention because I was shot in the head

seeing him off Facebook had me almost dead

Finishing the glass in hand

I took him to dance with the band

Hoping his skills were good

this guy danced like he was in the hood

by the time I got served

I was six drinks in and over slurred

my two step became so complex

the homie from the hood was a bit embarrassed and vex

how this girl could come and take my shine

she couldn't even walk across the floor in one line

called out another scotch on rocks

but was beat to the bar by this girl with locks

I looked at her date

we couldn't relate

she whispered to me that she needed this drink

I looked into her eyes and got a wink

I saw a new friendship mixed in our glasses

we went on dates with asses.

Best friends are the best of friends for each other when they have similar taste in liquor and far-fetched taste in men,

after the first couple of drinks, we agree to disagree and say Amen.
